Boz Drafting Services has been providing Laser Scanning Services since 2016, Utilizing the latest Laser Scanning Technology and Software to create Point Cloud data that is converted to Recap / Pod files etc. for As-built Modelling / Reverse Engineering / Inspection purposes.
Boz Drafting provides many services from converting the Cloud data to 3d models to conducting the scanning of the plant or equipment on Engineering or Drafting Companies behalf to provide the Cloud data for creating their 3d models in their selected CAD or BIM program.
From the first project Scanning a Mineral Sands Wet concentrator comprising of 270 scans for major steel-work upgrades. The scan data was used for re-assembly purposes at the new Mine site location. Not the easiest of projects to start the Laser Scanning journey with. The upgrades were a success, since then Boz Drafting has conducted numerous 300 – 500 scan projects utilizing up to 3 Scanners running in conjunction to reduce the time needed on site.
Since upgrading to a Leica RTC360 Scanner Boz Drafting can perform between 130 to 200 high-definition scans per day depending on site conditions and weather delays. Another Benefit of Utilizing the RTC360 is the onsite registration to guarantee no data is missed out.
Every project is scanned to the highest level of detail as if we were doing Reverse Engineering or As-built modelling in-house. Boz Drafting Services have invested in a tripod that allows placing the scanner above ground up to 6m and up to 5m downwards in Tanks / Vessels / Manholes to save on scaffolding and confined space entry.
